Thanksgiving

This year we went to my grandparents house for Thanksgiving. I made a yummy cheese ball and I brought a veggie try. It was so weird not baking or cooking anything this year but my aunt and her two boys came down from SLC and they made tons of food so I just brought some finger foods. I love the holidays ...minus eating a ton! I am gonna start working out like crazy after the holidays! Yes I said after...lame excuse, I know! I'm just going to enjoy the holidays this year! It's much more fun with a baby....I love him sooooo much!!!

Hudson at 8 Months!!

I'm not sure how much I weigh...I'm just big :)
I still love Tangled
I have my two bottom teeth :)
My bedtime is at 9:30pm and I usually sleep until 8:00am
I can't crawl yet but I can go onto my hands and knees for a little bit... then I plop onto my belly
I usually take 3 naps a day
I wear 12 -18 month clothing
I have OUTGROWN my carseat! Thank goodness we saved a big one that we got at my baby shower!
I can clap my hands and say "yay!" but when I say it I just SCREAM high pitched!
I shake my head from side to side....I am trying to dance
I can say dada, baba(bottle), ba(ball)

We just love this little guy and can't get enough of him! A couple weeks ago he got his picture taken with Santa. It was so funny...when Santa started talking his head shot straight up to look at him and I snapped the picture :)

7 Months!

Hudson turned 7 months on the 17 of October! Weighing a whopping 22.5 lbs!
I love this little man...he brightens my day.
Hudson says dada and occasionally says mamama(when he's fussy), he shakes his head from side to side like he's saying no no, he love love LOVES Tangled!!! I really shouldn't play it for him as much as I do but when I'm trying to get ready that is all that will keep him entertained. He will sit and watch it without making a peep for almost the first half of the movie! Huddy still hasn't crawled yet....hopefully soon? He really hasn't shown an interest...maybe he will skip the crawling and go straight to walking. I guess we will see!!
He's a great sleeper...usually. He will no longer let me rock him to sleep :( We just lay him in his crib and turn the mobile on and he is out within a couple minutes. These past couple weeks I have found him laying on his belly with his face buried in the corner...It makes me so nervous but he seems to like his belly now. His bed time is at 9:45 and he usually wakes up by 7:30am. Just these past couple days he has been waking up at random times....I think because he is teething!! His little bottom tooth is so cute!! I think his second tooth is starting to cut through too! But other than that he hasn't been fussy with teething...yet!

We bought Huddy his high chair this week...he loves it!

For Halloween he was a Tiger....a Hurricane Tiger and I was a cheerleader!
I was going to have Heinz dress as a football player but we couldn't find his jersey.
All the holidays are much more fun with this little guy around... I cannot wait for Christmas!

6 Months old!!

I can't believe my baby is half a yr old! Time is going by way to0 fast! This little man keeps me so busy that I rarely blog anymore but I really need to keep up on it so I am going to TRY to blog once a month!

6 month birthday and the Utes won! What a good day :)

Hudson's 6 month stats: 20lbs 14 oz, 27 3/4 inches, head circumference 17 1/2
Hudson is such a chunk! He is now in 12 month clothing...His pediatrician can't get over how tall he is either! He keeps asking how tall Heinz is but he's not even 6ft.
Hudson sleeps through the night. He goes to bed by 9:30 and wakes up for the day by 7:30 or 8 and he can now hold his own bottle! Yay! He love love loves being outside! If he is fussy all I have to do is walk outside and he is fine. He drools a tons, loves splashing in the bath, going on walks, reading books, sucking on his toes, sitting up so he can see what is going on, loves cartoons....Tangled is his favorite, especially when she sings, and just about anything that keeps him entertained! We recently started him on baby food and he loves it. He loves pears, applesauce, bananas, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes and sweet baby carrots. He hates PEAS! It is so funny watching him pull funny faces...he was gagging so we stopped :) He is at such a fun age right now, even though I think it is the hardest! He loves the attention and if he could be held all day (which he can't because he is so heavy!) he would love it. I'm starting to get some buff arms though :) He is really good at sitting up now but he has yet to make any attempt to crawl! I will just enjoy this...I'm in no rush because I know he will be into everything when he can crawl.
Hudson at 5 months...He can sit up pretty well and a couple days before he turned 5 months he rolled over! He did it for a couple days straight and that's about it! He showed us so now he's done...hasn't rolled over since! I started him on rice cereal and he had his first mashed up banana and he loved it. He started sucking on his toes and he found his thumb at 5 months...the little chomper! And he slobbers like crazy! Bibs are a MUST! I have a thing with putting cartoon character clothing on him...I'd rather not unless it's really really cute...but with his drooling, I don't care what the bib looks like..he needs them or he has a huge wet ring around his neck. ( I know, I'm weirdo)

He started giggling and it is so cute. He started grabbing his binky and he tries to put it in his mouth. If he is laying down he tries to sit up...He hates laying down and if he is...he better have a bottle in his hand. He got his very first sickness :( He had a cold and then got the flu...it was the worst thing ever! I'm so happy he feels better now.

I can't believe I haven't done a 4 month post yet and my little man will be 5 months on the 17th! So much has been going on. We were of town for a couple weekends and then two weeks ago I had really bad allergies. I kept blowing my nose and it was so sore! I noticed a bump on my jawbone and when I woke up the next day, the right side of my face was swollen and I was having flu-like symptoms. So we drove home from Salt Lake that night and the next morning I went to the Doctors and it turns out I had a Staff Infection! Me...of all people! I'm constantly washing my hands/hand sanitizer, and washing bottles and I get a staff infection!!! Who knows, we went to Antigravity a few days before I got it. It hurt like hell and I was on antibiotics for 10 days, meanwhile, Huddy was getting over a cold. The sore on my nose went away and then last Tuesday, Huddy started throwing up and having diarrhea! It has seriously been AWFUL seeing him go through all this pain! He was getting so dehydrated and his bum was so sore and he was puking big time! Not like spitting up...it was throw up:( I took him to the Doctors twice so they could check him for dehydration and he said it is just a virus that would last 3-5 days. We are now on day 6 and he is starting to feel a ton better, I just hope it goes away soon! He's been on Pedialyte and will hardly take but 2 oz of formula. His poor little tummy! Hopefully when everything settles down I can actually upload some pics and do a real post. Until then...I better get some sleep before my baby boy wakes up :D

3 Month Huddy!

I can't believe Huddy is over 3 Months old now! Time is going by so fast, it kinda makes me sad. Huddy is a great sleeper now! I usually do his last feeding around 830-9 and put him to bed by 1030 and he sleeps till 7:00am! I love it! Of course there's been a couple times that he has woken up at 345 or 5 but most of the time it's 7 :)
I just started work 2 weeks ago and going part time, 3x a week. Of course they hired way too many people while I was gone, so they cut everyone's hrs even more, so now I only work twice a week... Tues& Thurs. I'm okay with that, I just don't know if Heinz is ;D I thought it was going to be soooo hard leaving Huddy, but I've handled it pretty well. Heinz' mom is a teacher so she volunteered to watch him the whole summer! I am so thankful, I don't know what I would do without her help! Especially Annie and Win ( Heinz' little sister and dad) They have watched him two weeks in a row and they did great! I check my phone constantly and Annie sends me pics of him all day long, I love it!
Huddy is starting to smile more and more, it is the cuttest thing ever! He hasn't full on laughed yet but he has let out a little giggle.
He slobbers a ton! We just got family pics taken and his shirt was soaked! And he blows little bubbles out of his mouth too.
He is starting to jabber a little bit and he always chews on his hands...hasn't found his thumb yet! (Thankfully;)
He is in 6-9 month clothing....we seriously need to buy clothes for him constantly! and he is now in size 2 diapers!
When he is super tired he fights it!....Already!! He will throw his head back and toss it from side to side.
At night I can usually lay him down and he can go to sleep on his own, but when he takes his naps, I usually rock him to sleep. I don't mind doing it and I just love to cuddle him and besides that, it is usually a 20 min cat nap...it drives me crazy at times. I can't wait till he takes longer naps so I can get stuff done.
He does not like to lay on his back, he likes being able to sit up and see everything that is going on and he still doesn't like his swing. He LOVES his Bumbo though! It's a life saver!
He likes car rides but if we are at a stop light he wakes up and cries instantly, it's so funny!

I still need to catch up on some posts so I will be doing that soon, but until then here are some pics that Dallas took for us a couple days ago. I love them. Thanks Dallas!

3 Years!

Heinz and I celebrated our 3 yr Anniversary over the weekend! I can't believe how fast it has gone by! We started dating in High School when I turned 17 and Heinz was 15 turning 16! I know, I'm a cradle robber! But I couldn't resist his blond locks and tan skin, and he always made me laugh, even though he wasn't trying. He could be an air head at times, but I love him soooo much! I am so glad that Heinz is my husband and that Hudson chose us to be his parents, it's been the best year ever! It is so cute to see the smile on Heinz' face when he comes home from work and sees huddy. Both of their faces light up, It's so cute! Well, I just wanted to post some pics of us over the years and all the fun stuff we have been able to do and the accomplishments we have achieved. We truly are blessed! I love you Heinz Henry Rahde... and Huddy Buddy!

2 month chunky monkey

2 Months!

Our little chunky monkey is 2 months old now! I can't believe how the time flies! I'll be going back to work in a couple weeks and I am super sad :( I'll only be going part time and Grandma Deedee and Aunt Annie will be watching him during the summer. He's starting to be more alert and stays up for 2-3 hrs before he takes a nap. Just last week Huddy slept 8 hrs straight! He's only done that twice but I hope I can get him into a routine. He usually sleeps 6 hrs and then after that he wakes up every 1-2 hrs. We just took our first road trip to SLC for Uncle Ricky's tennis match and the trip went smoothly. He loves riding in cars but near the end, he was ready to get out and be a home! I'll post pics of that later.

Hudson at 2 months:
I weigh 14.9 lbs 97th percentile, 24.5" tall 95th percentile

I smile a lot now and sometimes I laugh in my sleep. Mommy <3's it
I usually sleep 6 hrs at a time and twice I slept for 8 hrs
I have a love/hate relationship with my binky. I always make an icky face and push it out but I can't go to sleep without it, it soothes me. I drop my binky out of my mouth a lot, I need to practice keeping it in my mouth a little longer :)
I have almost outgrown size 1 diapers
I wear 3-6 month clothing
I LOVE t0 be held! Everywhere I go someone wants to hold me, so it makes things hard on mommy and daddy when we are at home. (But Mom and Dad love to spoil me still!)
I love bath time, but I scream when they take me out
I like going on walks with my mommy, my stroller is pretty awesome
I have the chunkiest cheeks ever....some people think I store food in them for the winter!

1 month post...a little late

One Month!

So, I know our little mister is almost 6 weeks old, but I've just been so busy/tired that I haven't had the time to post any pics of him until now. We just love Hudson more than words can say. Having him in our lives has been such a blessing.... it's challenging at times, but a blessing non the less. We have learned and grown so much by having him in our lives. We'd be lost without him!!

Some things to remember at One Month:

He sleeps 3 to 4 hrs between feedings
He pees a lot! Once it hits air you can expect to change his jammas....but mom has a hang of it now, so we don't go through as many clothes now :)
Did NOT like sponge baths, but has started to like baths
Loves his head rubbed while feeding him, his eyes just roll back....it's so sweet
Loves his head washed, especially when the water runs over it
He's a screamer when you change him or put lotion on him....He does not like being cold
When he is swaddled his hands somehow make it out of the blanket and end up in little fists right by his face like he's boxing
He has many nick names: Huddy Buddy, Hud, Little Monkey, Baby Boy, Peanut, Mister and the list goes on!

St. Patty's Day BABY!!

Hudson Heinz Rahde decided to join our family on March.17, 2011 instead of April.1 !! This is going to be a long post of how it all went down, so bare with me :) I like to use this blog kinda like it's my journal!

On Wednesday March.16 I went in for my 38 wk appointment. My blood pressure was going up and up and I just wasn't feeling very well...I was dilated to a 4 by this time. Dr.Lunt was on vacation...go figure, so I saw Lisa. She told me she wanted to get some more tests done and to go straight to Labor and Delivery to do it instead of IHC, just incase I needed to have the baby today. I was a little freaked out! So a nurse walked us to L&D, they ran some tests on me, drew my blood, and an hour later a nurse walks in and says, "looks like you have low platelets, it keeps dropping lower which is bad because platelets help in blood clotting and fighting infections..we need to deliver this baby today!" I immediately lost it, I cried like a baby! And here's Heinz, so excited! I don't know why I was crying. I was a little scared not knowing everything that was going on and wondering if the baby and I were going to be ok. I guess I was just expecting to go to a check up, eat some breakfast, and then head home with my husband....Not have a baby that day! I had packed a bag, but of course it was at home.
So, they took us up to our room and started me on pitocin at about 1:30pm. All the family came around 6:00pm and I was only dilated to a 6. After that it was a LONG night!! I ended up getting a high fever so they made everyone leave the room. Heinz had cold rags on my neck and forehead and he had to fan me for a couple hours. Around 2:00 the next morning, I was fully dilated, so I pushed for 30 min, took a break, pushed for another 40 min, took a break, then pushed for about 20 min. Hudson wouldn't drop and he was transverse. With every push my blood pressure kept going up and up and I felt like I was going to pass out and with every contraction Hudson's heart rate was dropping...so the doctor came in and said, "you've been trying for quite a while and the baby isn't dropping down like we thought he would. You can try a little longer but it's putting a lot of stress on the baby and you are getting very bruised. If you were my daughter I would say let's do a c-section. It would be the safest bet." So I said, Ok I'm fine with that! I was way too exhausted to even really think about it. So at 5:30 am they took me in and at 5:55am Hudson was born, weighing 8.8 and 20 1/2 inches long and cuttest most chubbiest cheeks ever!! The doctor then said, "there was no way that baby would have came out on his own!"
We ended up staying from wed-sun. We were supposed to leave on sat, but a nurse took out my catheter too early and I couldn't use the bathroom on my own so they had to put a catheter back in...but a different nurse tried 3 times to put it in and couldn't! It was the worst pain ever!!
Anyways, we are at home now and doing well. I can't believe Heinz and I brought this little guy into our world! We love him to death and he is sooo cute!!

PUPPS Rash

Ahhhhh, I have 24 days left! Give or take a couple days. I'm so nervous and excited at the same time. I can't believe I'm posting these pics though...can my face and nose get any bigger!? ...well I guess so, because I'm still growing :'(
Well, the day after my 35 week appointment I broke out with a rash. I first noticed it on my elbows. They are red little bumps that itch like crazy. The next day I woke up and they were everywhere! On my stomach, arms, legs, and butt! The office closed early on Friday, so I got on babycenter.com and looked up the rash, which brought me to PUPPS rash (Pruritic Urticarial Papules and Plaques) It effects 1% of all pregnancies....Lucky Me!!!
So on Monday I called the doctor told them about it and that's when all the tests began. I went to the lab and got some tests done and they just told me to apply topical creams like benedryl, oatmeal lotions, take an oat meal bath etc, take claritin during the day and benedryl at night. I tried everything. After a week of this, I finally called the doctor again and told them I couldn't take the itching anymore and it was miserable.
He finally decided to see me that day and go over lab results even though my appointment wasn't until the this week(tomorrow). I went in expecting them to just look at my rash, but they did the strep b and he checked me and I am dilated to a 3. My blood pressure was also creeping up with every appointment and my feet were beginning to swell a lot because I'm always on my feet at work, so he put me on bed rest, got some more blood work done, got an ultra sound to check fluids, hooked me up to a monitor to check the babies stress levels and it showed contractions I might be having, and made me do a 24 hr urine sample. I guess they are doing all this to make sure I don't have preclampsia. All I know is that it ended up being a 3 1/2 hr appointment and I went by myself because Heinz had to work and it sucked. They still didn't do anything for my rash, I guess it just goes away after I give birth. UGH!! It's driving me crazy!
Anyways, My appointment is tomorrow and I am making Heinz go with me this time! Wish me luck!!!

Just a quick update. A week before Christmas we went up to the Brighton cabin. Heinz went boarding and I of course couldn't:( It snowed like crazy but it was a lot of fun!
Christmas was great. We got a computer and camcorder and I got Heinz a riding helmet and a tool chest.
I will be 29 weeks this friday! It's going by super fast now. The baby is moving a ton now and I can no longer sleep at night :( The joys of pregnancy! I'm getting bigger and can I just say I hate stretch marks!! Don't worry, I use Palmer's cocoa butter and Bio Oil 2-3 times a day. It helps the skin stretch better but that's it and my stomach is so sore, especially when people touch it.
We got the baby room set up but that's about it. I still need to pick out a jogging stroller, car seat, and everything else! I hear some moms just use a pack n play w the bassinet to put in the bedroom instead of a bassinet but some have both. What do you guys suggest? And what brands are the best for strollers and car seats? What diaper brands do you like?

Pregnancy Update

I guess it's about time to give an update. I am now 22 weeks. We had our ultra sound on Nov.3 2010 and found out we are having a BOY! The day I found out I was pregnant, I told Heinz that we were going to have a boy. He thought I was crazy, I guess it was mothers intuition! We are so excited to bring this little guy into our world. My due date is April. 1...April Fool's Day! Go figure right?! I'll have some fun with that one!
Things are going very smoothly. At first I was pretty nauseated, hated the thought of eating salad with creamy dressings, and the smell of garlic and onions... garlic bread was the worst! After I ate somewhere I could care less if I ever ate there again! Thank goodness that has passed. At least I was keeping down my food, and I'm so sorry for all the sick prego mom's out there who can't keep their food down... no bueno:( Well things are better now, the sickness has passed and now I'm gaining the lbs! Don't really crave a specific thing, it just depends on what I'm in the mood for. I do crave carbonation and it drives me crazy... I rarely drank that stuff and I crave it all the time!!
We are cleaning out our spare room for the baby and my mom just bought me a crib...she's made it a tradition to buy all her kids their first cribs. I'm super excited to start decorating the room, it will make it more surreal. The baby keeps moving more and more each day, it's so exciting to feel him move. Heinz has felt him a couple times but he always stops moving when Heinz puts his hand on my belly. I think he likes music, I've noticed he moves a ton while I'm a work and of course he moves a lot when I'm going to sleep. I'm so curious to see what he will look like. I personally think blond hair and green eyes?! I guess we'll see!!

Heinz' brother, Gavin, returned home after serving a mission in Chile! We were all so excited to see him and to share the news with all the family that Heinz and I are pregnant!! I'm now 11 weeks and a couple days. I just had my first appointment on Friday and we were able to hear the heart beat! We are so excited that we finally got pregnant! My due date is April fools day...so if i go over my due date, you can expect me to prank a few peeps:)
As for the whole pregnancy thing I am just really nauseated, but thankfully I can keep my food down. Nothing ever sounds good to me, but if I don't eat right when I'm feeling hungry, I get even more nauseated. Haven't had cravings or anything yet, but I like to eat cereal, it helps with the heartburn too. I have a hunch that I am going to have a boy and so does practically everyone else...even though if I had to choose, I would lean more towards a girl ;) But as long as the baby is healthy, we will take anything!!

I know I'm a little behind on blogging but here's some pics of the last month. For the 4th we went with our cousins to a cabin up in Paragonah. We went four wheeling and just hung out with all the family, it was a lot of fun. Right after that it was Heinz' birthday! We had friends over for dinner and cake one night and then went to the ranch to have dinner with his family the next night.

In the middle of July we went to California for Heinz' cousins wedding so we decided to make a vacation out of it. All the family decided to stay for a week and we had tons of fun. We went to Disneyland, California Adventure, a couple different beaches, and went to Sea World! The wedding turned out to be a success...I was asked to do 9 bridesmaids hair for the wedding and I won't lie..I was freaking out. They needed to be done by one in the afternoon. So my kind mother in law said she'd help me, even though she didn't know what to do. She was a trooper and it saved me! Luckily all the girls wanted curls and not updo's!
On our way home from Cali, Heinz dropped me off in Vegas so I could go to NAHA (North American Hairstylist Awards)with everyone from work. We stayed the night at the Luxor and it was a lot of fun!

And last of all we went to the Brighton cabin for the 24th.
The weather was awesome! James, Kas, Bentlee, Sam, and Tali came with us.
The guys worked while the girls shopped and then we just lazed around
the cabin watching movies and going on walks.
We did go into town and watch the fireworks and they were amazing!
Way bigger than Hurricane's :) Anyways, that's all for now.
I still have more but I'll post it later! Did I mention we got a dog?!

A little update, I finally quit my job and I'm working at PM the school in St.George. I'm in training right now and then I will be a hair instructor! I can finally say I love my job :D I'm a little bummed that I work on Saturdays, but Heinz and James have their weekends filled with side jobs in Delta and Cedar mostly.They do sprinklers, decorative curb, cement, and water features. They pretty much do great landscaping, so if anyone needs some work done, let us know! I'm so anxious for them to start on our backyard! We just need our walls in and then we can get started.
No baby yet :( We decided to put that on hold because of my new job and not having insurance for 90 days.
About 2 1/2 weeks ago we celebrated our 2 yr anniversary! Heinz bought me some pretty flowers and then we stayed a night up in Springdale and went swimming and shopped in all the stores. The next weekend we went to Texas Roadhouse with Kas and James. Our anniversaries are one week apart so now we just have an excuse to do 2 weekends of fun, right Kasidee?!
Next month we are going to Cali for a wedding and family vacation and I'm so excited. I really want/need a vacation right about now. And in August Gavin will be home from Chile! I can't believe how fast time flies!

I can't believe I haven't blogged since December! Here's a little recap on what's going on in our lives..... I'm still working at Wal-Mart D.C getting up a 2 am every morning! I absolutely hate it but it pays a ton, that's the only thing I like about it...and the insurance. I just barely interviewed for a job today and I have 2 more interviews to go and if I get the job, I am QUITTING the D.C!! It's time for a change and I definitely don't want to be stuck in the job that I have right now, for the rest of my life!!
Heinz quit his job and decided to help our family on the ranch and he also got a part time job at Verizon. It's a little scary to be changing jobs at a time like this but we've prayed about it and we know everything will be ok :D
No baby on the way...yet. We've been trying since November but we will let you know when the time comes! So until then I'm still doing weight watchers. Lost 5 more pounds but as soon as I'm prego...No more WW for me :D until after the baby. But anyone who's looked into ways of losing weight, WW really does work....so does exercising or at least walking! I've lost about 15 lbs...ew sick, I know!
Well, It's starting to finally slow down at work so hopefully I'll be able to keep up with the blogging world again! See you soon!!

Spoiled!!

Santa spoiled us this year!! It was so nice to
finally spend Christmas morning in a home
of our own! Last Christmas we were living
with my parents...Don't get me wrong, for the
most part it was pretty fun living there, but
having a place of your own is tons better :D

So, we had Christmas here.....we were
planning on going up to the ranch to spend
breakfast with Heinz' family, but they randomly
decided to go to Salt Lake to spend Christmas
Day with the rest of the fam! So we had a
breakfast of our own and then went to my
parents house for a dinner and open up
presents with the rest of my family.

This year Santa brought me a new snowboard
and some cute beanies, perfume, and
sunglasses! I'm so exited to go to the Brighton
cabin this weekend so I can try out my new
board, but I'm a little nervous too! We never
went boarding last year cuz we spent
New Years in Cambria instead. I'm a little rusty!!
But my parents got me Wii fit too and I am so
excited about it!

Heinz got a riding outfit, riding boots,
and some cute fox sunglasses. He also got a
remote control helicopter but it's not here
yet, but his friend James got one for Christmas
too and they spent all night flying it in the house.
They had a lot of fun.

It's been way too long since I last blogged! Forgive me :D So much has been going on in the past two months! We went to Germany...It was a blast! We didn't really like Paris too much and Austria was really pretty! Then came Halloween..We went to Thriller (front row seats!), then had a get together at our house, ate tons of food, and played games. Then a few weeks ago we went up to Salt Lake for my grandparents 50th anniversary! It turned out awesome and there were over 70 people who showed. Germany!!!!

Can I just say that I am so excited to go to Germany!! We will be leaving in 20 days :) We are going with Heinz' oma and opa (grandparents), his parents, and my parents. While we are there we will visit: Austria, Paris, and Switzerland!!!!!!! I finally got my passport and my work finally approved my time off......so we are good to go! Now I just need some meds for the long plane ride...I'm a little nervous about that. Thought you'd enjoy a picture of one of the castles in Germany that we are going to see...one of Disney's inspirations :D

Wakeboarding

This weekend we took my dad's boat out to Sand Hollow and Quail Lake. We had a lot of fun. Melissa, Parker, and James went with us. I of course didn't board because I suck, but the guys did so I was able to take pictures of them. Here's just a few. After wakeboarding on Friday we went to Pasta Factory and then to the Dixie overlook or whatever it is and took some pics and walked around. After boarding on Saturday, we went to Samauri 21 for James' birthday, went bowling, and caught a movie. Didn't take any pictures of that though, sorry.

So, I just wanted to tell you all a funny story. So when we were test driving the Carolla (the one we bought), we noticed there was a noise coming from the glove box. So we looked inside and found....nothing. So we turned the corner and it made the noise again. We stopped and then went again and it made the noise again. It sounded like there was something rolling around from side to side. We couldn't figure out where it was coming from. We told the guy we wanted it, but we wanted him to take the glove box apart to see if there was loose change or something that fell behind the dash. So he checked it and found change. SWEET?! No not really, cuz it still kept making the noise. There was nothing that he could really do, so we took it home.
I kept hearing that noise around every corner and every stop and go!! It was so annoying!! Finally, Friday night I made Heinz rip the floor apart on the passenger side, cuz I knew it was coming from somewhere around there, and we just kept digging. Finally, he got tfo a vent and pulled it out, tipped it upside down, and out rolls..........some stupid girls LIP GLOSS!! How lame can people get?! Anyways, I'm so glad that stupid noise it gone!!!!!!!! Advice....don't put loose stuff on your dash, its super annoying.

Happy Birthday Heinz!!

Thursday was Heinz 22nd birthday! We both had the day off work, so we went up to the ranch in the morning and went swimming with his family. (Fyi...that picture of the kid jumping off the building is Heinz little bro.) That evening we went to one of Heinz favorite restaurants, Wingers. It was ok, kind of crappy service and 4 people got their meals free cuz they kept messing up, too bad it wasn't mine or Heinz' dinner :D oh well. After dinner, we went back to our house and had ice cream cake from DQ...it was delightful! For his gift, I bought him a grill. He had no idea I had bought it for him. He went out back to show his friend our patio.....and there it was!!! He was pretty stocked :)
We also had a yard sale over the weekend and we made just enough money to buy a new camera. I love it, it's a Nikon cool pix (touch screen). It so cool cuz you can write on it and stamp the picture with different shapes and stuff. So, of course I had to show you some pics...so we baby sat my niece and we took pics with my new camers. Enjoy:P

4th of July weekend

Over the weekend we went up to the Brighton cabin. We went hiking, went to the parade and then went to a movie. How lame are we, we didn't even see FIREWORKS!! :( We also went to one of Heinz's old job sites. He was so proud of himself for building this waterfall. It was him and another kid who did it. He did an awesome job, I want a waterfall in my yard now! And last but not least, we got a new CAR!!!!!!!! We've been test driving SUV's and cars, but being as I don't have any kids right now, we dicided to stick with a car instead. Good bye old saturn, I will NOT miss you!!!!

House Update

Well....we've been super busy lately, so since my
husband left me and went to Lake Powell for the weekend,
I decided I will blog because I'm extremely bored!

Last weekend we went to my family reunion in Richfield.
It was pretty fun, didn't take too many pics so here's one of
us on our way to the reunion.

This is our living room....I know it looks super small but
it really isn't that bad. We just got a new couch and it barely fits, but
we pretty much love it. We can take off the chaise part, but it's the best part!
I haven't really decorated that much because we've
been gone practically every weekend, but we did
get a flat screen and mounted it on the wall and I put up
a couple of decorations. Now we need a t.v stand in place of that table.

Last but not least, Thank you for the lawn mower
Grandma and Grandpa. They gave it to us as a
house warming gift. Heinz was so excited that he mowed
the lawn when it really didn't need to be mowed.

I know I haven't blogged in a while, but things have been
so crazy. Heinz and I are official HOMEOWNERS now. We closed
on the house yesterday. I will post some pics when we
get everything unpacked, but right now I wanted to blog
about the past 3 weekends......

Memorial Weekend Heinz and I went to Panguitch with
Cord and Amberly. We had a fun time and their kids
are the cutest.

The next weekend we went up the the Brighton cabin with
Heinz' family. We went hiking around Silver Lake and we picked up
an older t.v from his grandparents.

This last weekend we went to Mesquite and stayed the night
with James and Kasidee. They gambled a little and we
shopped. We left early because we finally got the call
that we were closing on the house:) Sorry, I don't have
any pictures. And finally, this weekend we are
going to Richfield for our family reunion.
This past month has been so busy!

I can't believe it's our 1 yr Anniversary!!
So much has happened so I decided to take you on
a trip down memory lane. The pics are lame but here you go...

June 2008- Went on our honeymoon to
Cancun, Mexico and moved to our new place in S.L.C.

July 2008- We celebrated Heinz Birthday, went to the
Brighton cabin for the 4th of July and went to Panguitch
Lake for the 24th.

August 2008- Took a trip to Bear Lake with all of Heinz family.
It was pretty much the last trip with all the fam before Gavin
left on his mission to Chile and my brother finally got married.

September 2008- Heinz and I are still living in S.L.C.
Pretty much a boring month...plus, I Hated living up there!!

October 2008- We finally moved back to Hurricane!!
Best decision we ever made. We both got good jobs right before
the economy went to crap.

November 2008- Thanksgiving with both our families.
I chopped my hair off and we are now living with my parents:(

December 2008- Our first Christmas together!!
Not in our own house:(

January 2009- Took a trip to Cambria, California and
visited Hearst Castle and Morrow Bay.

February 2009- Valentine's Day

March 2009- My Birthday, stayed in Springdale and
went hiking up Angels Landing

April 2009- Just working and saving money for our new
house we are building:) And my other brother
finally got married as well!!

Hair Extensions

Ok... so let me know if anyone is interested in hair
extensions. If you want length, more thickness
in your hair, or want random bright colors through out
your hair then let me know.
I've decided to start doing them again,
and at a cheaper price. I'm not the fastest yet, but
I can do them.

Here's the finished product. We didn't blend them
too much before we took the picture and we also cut off
tons more cuz it was a little too long for her. I just
never took a picture of the finished-finished product:)

It has been a busy week. Over the weekend we celebrated my
Mom's B-Day. Happy Birthday Mom! Love ya.
and then Heinz and I headed to Mesquite.

We had 2 free nights in Mesquite so we just relaxed
and went swimming. It was so hot down there and
the swimming pool was seriously so cold:o

and the guys gambled that night, while we hit up Wal-Mart.

Busy Week

So much has happened over the week.

We got our appliances in:D
The decorative rock is on the house and all the mirrors
and light fixtures are in.

We have a tile table exactly like the one in the picture.
We got if from Heinz' grandma, but the funny thing is..
she didn't give us any chairs. So we looked on KSL and found
this whole set and we got it for way cheap. So now we have 2 tables.
We're going to sand it and stain it a different color and pop out the tile and
be creative with it. It's a good thing we have 2 tables in case we mess up:D

My niece Jessica has to go to the dentist on Thursday.
She chipped a tooth a few months ago and she's been drinking milk
in her sippy cup forever. So,they finally took her in and now
they have to put her to sleep and pull her chipped tooth and cap
the other 3 front teeth. (Don't worry,
they will be the color of her teeth, not silver.) I hope it goes well,
and that she's not in any pain. We love you Jessica.

Lastly, we were able to talk to Gavin on Mother's Day!
It was so good to hear from him. He is having such a blast
in Chile. We also got to talk to one of his favorite
families! They love his so much and they are so
excited for us to come and pick him up in Chile in one year:D

Relay for Life

On Friday, May. 8 2009 my Mom, Kasidee, Me and My
Sister all went to the HHS and walked in memory of all
those who had passed from cancer.
It's a 24 hour event and you take turns with everyone
on your team and walk for an hour each.
The money raised (I think) is donated to the American Cancer Society.

My aunt was on the committee, so we helped her put
bags with lights in each of them for every person that has
passed from cancer or has had cancer.
We put them around the entire track and then we turned off
all the lights and had a moment of silence. It was so cool to see
all the bags glowing, like they were all here with us.
Taylor Viafanua sang "The Climb" and then they read off all the names.

House Update

The outside of the house just got painted and within the
next few days the rock will go up around the garage and
the far left window as well as the pillar. The front yard
will also be getting landscaped:D

We stopped by the house today and the cabinets and
counter tops are in too.!

Originally we wanted the cabinets to be dark brown
but since we decided to get the house when it was already being
built, they had already pre-ordered the cabinets. They said we
could get them, but it would put us 3 weeks behind.
If we missed our closing date we would be charged a fee
so we didn't want to risk it.

The next thing we need is the carpet and appliances!
We're super excited. They said the house should be
occupant ready in ten days or so.

Well, if everything goes smoothly,
this will be OUR house is about 30 days!
We are super excited!
It's a 3 bedroom house, not the biggest
you'll ever see, but big enough for the
two of us for a couple of years.
We'll be living right across

we could find.) And our friends Troy and
Jamie ended up building right
next to us, by total coincidence.
It will be a fun place to live.

I must admit that since I've been married, I've gained a few pounds! I always told myself before I got married, that I wasn't going to be that wife to gain all the weight in the first year of marriage. But...It kinda happened. I'm not sure how it happened, but it did. We always plan on going to the gym right after work, but by the time we're done with work, we just want to go home and sleep:)
I mean, we start work at 3 in the morning! But after much consideration, I decided to start Weight Watchers. I didn't join because my mom has all the books and the points finder and everything you need to know, so I decided I'd better just do it. So....today is my 1 month mark and I've lost 10 pounds! I know that doesn't sound like much, but I'm so proud of myself for losing that much so far. Of course I still plan on losing more, but I was just so excited so I decided I needed to blog about it:D

For mine and my sisters birthdays, we went to my favorite place ever, Samauri 21! Mmmm It is so good! Our good friends came along with us and then we all went bowling. After that, we went to James and Kasidee's and watched my new dvd, Twilight:D Then we stayed and just talked about high school days till 2:00 in the morning! What a night! Just two more months and the house we are buying will be done and then everyone can chill at our house:) But thanks for coming everyone!

My B-Day in Zion

It was a fun filled weekend! I turned 23!! It's crazy how 23 sounded old to me, but now when I think about being 24 next year...It scares me;0 Anyways, after work on Friday, Heinz took me to Springdale. We stayed at the Zion Canyon Bed & Breakfast and we had the Master Suite. It was my favorite! A big king bed, flat screen t.v, steam shower, jacuzzi tub, and private deck with swing chairs:) I wish we could have stayed another night, but we couldn't.
That evening, we went out to dinner at the Whiptail Grill. And for those of you who have never tried it... you must!! My uncle owns it and it has the best food ever, and I'm not just saying that because it's my uncles! Then we went for a walk around the town and looked through all the gift shops. I love Springdale. Almost all of the jobs I have had were in Springdale.

The next morning we had breakfast with all the other guests that were staying at the B&B and then we packed up and headed out to Angels Landing.
I can't believe it was my first time hiking to Angels Landing, but we had a blast. It was really really cold at the first of the hike and I had an ear ache, but once it started getting warmer, it wasn't too bad. We made it to the top in about an hour and a half, of course taking pictures on the way and stopping for water breaks. My legs were killing me though. Walters wiggles is a great thigh work out.

We had a pretty busy weekend and I thought I'd share some pics. One of Heinz's best friends, Chase, got married this weekend and Heinz was one of 7 groomsman! That's a lot of people. But the wedding was beautiful and so was Sherree. I didn't get any pics of the bride and groom (sorry.... they were way too busy in the line) and I should have taken a picture of chase' leg. He broke it when he entered the rhino rally the other week, so he had crutches and a leg brace on for his wedding. I can't believe they are going to Jamaica like that, it's a good thing that it's only a brace! CONGRATS YOU TWO!!

Well.....Not too much has happened lately, but I'm very bored cuz my husband is doing a side job, so I decided I would write something. Well, my sister put blonde in my hair and I really like it... So thanks Melissa!

Heinz and I are still in the process of building/buying a home. We put an offer on a house a couple weeks ago, but someone offered CASH! Who has that kind of money laying around, honestly! So it fell through. I guess it wasn't meant to happen, but I know we will find a house that's perfect for us.

On Monday I babysat my niece Jessica and I was able to get some really cute pics of her. I can't believe that she will be two in May. She is seriously the cutest thing ever and she always brightens my day when she's around....even though she can be a little monster at times. She's starting to talk a lot too and it's so cute. She says, maama-for grandma, papa-grandpa, see u morrow- see you tomorrow(of course), nana-banana. Of course she can't say my name and she calls all the girls in the family Ashley or Amber(which are her aunts on the other side of the fam.) But she can say Heinz's name and it's so cute. So....Can I just say that I'm so glad March is just around the corner. Valentine's Day
Our V-Day was pretty good. In the morning we went to
St.George with Heinz friends cuz they all had to get fitted
for tuxes for Chase's wedding and then we all went to Cafe Rio.
In the evening we went to a movie and watched, She's Just
Not That Into You. It was a pretty good show and then we went

stupid sinus infection that won't go away, but on Saturday

Super Bowl Weekend

This post is a little late, but since I finally took pictures of
one of our low key weekends, I decided I would put
them on here. We had a little get together at James and
Kasidee's house and it was pretty fun. We had tons of food....
meatballs, buffalo wings, pigs-in-a blanket, chips&dip, veggie tray
and tons of cookies. Of course our team didn't win and everyone was
bummed, but we got over it pretty fast!

What we've been up too....

So, this month has gone by so fast! We hardly have any time to hang out with friends anymore, which is kinda sad. Sorry we couldn't make it to Beau's Birthday, four wheeling looked like a ton of fun. Heinz and I got hired on full time at Wal-Mart D.C and we both wake up at 2 a.m. to go to work. It's only Tuesday-Friday but it wares us out. We have to be to bed by no later than 9 p.m. which sucks, but I'm glad we get a 3 day weekend.
Heinz just started school at Dixie this semester. He's going part time taking night classes but he's doing a good job considering the jobs that ware us out at the D.C. On Saturday night we went and talked to Heinz uncle that is a loan officer. He pulled our credit scores and we are now pre-qualifying to buy a house! We can't wait to find out so we can start looking. We already have a few houses in mind, but we'll see how it goes. We are just so grateful we have jobs right now and that we even have the opportunity to buy a house! We are so excited.....Wish us luck:)

New Years in Cambria, CA

Heinz and I were lucky enough to spend our New Years in Cambria, CA. Our aunt and uncle invited us and my parents to stay at a beach house with them which was really awesome. Cambria is a smaller town in Northern CA. It took about 9 hrs to get there but it was beautiful passing through all the vineyards and the pine trees.
The first few days we went to a few beaches:Morro Bay, which is a tiny place to shop and eat tons of fish, and San Luis Obispo, where there was a big shopping mall and Bubblegum Alley! An alley where everyone puts their gum on the walls. It was yucky but it was cool.
Then we drove almost 3 hrs to Monterey Bay which passed through a nice town Carmel. The road all the way to Monterey Bay was Highway 1 with took us through tons on switchbacks right on the coastline. It made us all a little sick but it was a beautiful drive.
We also took a tour through Hearst Castle. An awesome Castle, which W.R Hearst called his Ranch back in the day. His fortune came from his father who found a silver mine and later he himself became a politician in congress and a publisher who opened tons of newspaper stands.
He decided to build the castle in his 50's and it took about ten years to do it. It's huge. Our tour didn't even cover half of his ranch. The ceilings and pools are covered with gold and there are tons of old statues he purchased from Europe, Spain and Egypt.
It was a fun New Years. Anybody who hasn't been to Northern CA should go there. It's like a different place and we loved it!!

Our First Christmas!

We had a great Christmas this year! Heinz and I both worked on Christmas Eve but we got off a little early which was good. We went to the ranch cuz it was his grandpa's b-day and we had a big dinner. It was yummy! We had Christmas at our house and opened presents. Heinz and I got each other the DARE phones:) I love my phone. He also got me a down alternative comforter, boarding pants, a robe and slippers, a cute ring, and he also surprised me with Idols in Concert tickets since they are coming to St.G in May:)
I got Heinz a lot of clothes and some church shoes, a shaver, Christmas p.j's, cologne, and an R-C Helicopter. He was really excited about that!

Catching Up

We've been so busy this past month that I have been slacking at this blogging thing! Working ten hour shifts really wares you out. But I'm glad we have jobs, considering the economy right now. Here's what we've been doing over the past few weeks besides.....working, eating, and sleeping. I finally cut my hair!, we went to my sisters graduation (Good Job Moe!), celebrated my dad's b-day, I made some flower barrettes, binky holders, and Christmas blocks to sell at my works craft fair and had Thanksgiving with both mine and Heinz' families. Not the greatest most exciting things that have ever happened, but at least I blogged:)

Halloween Weekend

A few days before Halloween, my nieces were over and we decided to look in my moms big plastic bin of Halloween decorations. To my surprise, I found masks that we wore for Halloween when we were younger. My sister and I were some weird looking strawberry muffin girl and my brothers were pound puppies and some robot thing. I can't believe my mom still had them! I have to be honest, the girl mask is a little freaky. What we were thinking when we were little, I have no idea!

The day before Halloween, we went with Heinz and his family to the corn maze. We had a lot of fun. I wanted to go to the haunted maze but Heinz was being a pansy!;) After the maze, we went to Samari 21 with James&Kas and then went to Wal-Mart to pick out some last minute costumes to wear to Thriller.

On Halloween night we went to Thriller at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre with Kas, Bentlee, James, Troy&Jamie. Heinz and James dressed up as some freaky looking weird guys, I made an attempt to dress as a pirate, Kas was a cute rocker chick with tattoos all over and Bentlee was a cute little witch! Thriller was AWESOME though. A must see for anybody who hasn't been to it. Heinz was kinda worried he wasn't going to like it...with all the singing and dancing, but all the guys thought it was pretty cool. It ended at about 11p.m and then we all went to Denny's after that.

Blond or Brunette?!

I'm just blogging to blog. I would put some pics of our fun Halloween night but I cannot find the hookups for my camera to download the pictures. So I will post them as soon as I find it. As for now....I'm a little confused on what to do:) .......

Being that I am a cosmetologist, I find myself always changing my hair color, but not so much my hair styles. I cut my hair way short my sophomore year and I hated it! It took me forever to grow it back long. I don't know why I try to grow it out because my hair it pretty fine, I just don't want to cut it and end up hating it again!! So for now, if I feel like I need a change, I just dye my hair or put extensions in it. Here are a couple of pics of my many hair do's. Right now I'm at the point where I need a change again. Any advice of what I should do? I loved being blond but I like the dark too. I just get sick of one solid color and it ends up driving me nuts! And should I cut my hair short? Leave it? Extensions? Any advice?

Home Sweet Home!

Wow! We've had a busy week! Last weekend when we were down in Hurricane, Heinz came up with another crazy idea,"Hey Alecia, why don't you quit your job and then we can move back to Hurricane this week!" Heinz is crazy and we are both spontaneous at times....So what did we do? Drum roll.........WE MOVED BACK!:) We figure we'd rather be happy with our lives than be unhappy in a place we don't even like. Heinz's job was slowing down quite a bit for the winter so he would have had to find a different job anyways. After we made our decision to move back, the D.C center called us the very next day and asked both of us for interviews. We had 3 interviews in 3 days, while babysitting everybody's kids in between!! We had a lot of fun though. We watched Bentlee over night while James and Kas went out for her B-Day, watched my nieces and nephew, we watched Heinz little sister, Annie, over night, and we also watched my little cousin for two days and dropped him and his other cousins off to school! It was so weird but fun watching all the kids. Heinz even had a good time too, he was like a soccer mom dropping and picking kids up from school and playing the Wii with the boys when they all got home! It was a busy week!
So Heinz and I got the positions at the D.C. and we start tomorrow! We are so excited to make some good money so Heinz can go back to school and eventually we want to buy a home. I'm gonna try to get a job doing hair with my sister on the weekends and I can't wait!!! Anyways, this is a very long blog so I better stop right now!! It's so good to be home again:)

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies!
1 can of pumpkin, 1 box of Spice Cake mix,
and one bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips!
Just 3 ingredients and they are delicious!
Just mix together and bake@350 for 11 min
I think it's only 1 point for weight watchers
and they are super moist and so yummy!

Crazy Weekend?!

This weekend Heinz and I decided to stay in Salt Lake and hang out with my fam cuz they were all up here visiting my gpa at the hospital. On Saturday we met up with my brother and his wife and kids and we went to Thanksgiving Point. We had such a blast! We went to the Dinosaur Museum and went to Golden Corral . It was funny cuz as we were walking in the museum a lady came up to us and said, "You guys should walk in with us so we can get a discount for having over 18 people in our group." So.... Like we were gonna pass that up! We met "gma&gpa" and all the other "cousins" and they just payed for all the tickets on one card and we gave them cash. It was pretty funny:) We were talking to them for quit a while and found out that half of them were from Cedar City. So Heinz got a few side jobs set up with them which worked out really well. They family was really nice! On Sunday we visited family, made fresh salsa, and baked cookies .... and it SNOWED!! It 's freezing up here:(

Weekend in Brighton

This weekend we decided we needed to get away and take a trip to our family cabin in Brighton. We had so much fun! All the leaves were yellow and red and it was really cold. Fall is my favorite time of year, I love the colors, smells, and of course the sweater weather! I love Sweaters:) It rained most of the time, so we snuggled by the fire and watched tons of movies and Heinz made me hot chocolate. On Saturday we took a walk around Silver Lake in the rain, it was a lot of fun. And on Sunday it was snowing!! It was so beautiful to look out the windows and see snow all over the yellow trees. And then, of course, we watched general conference:) Overall, we had an awesome weekend. I'm so thankful for my husband, he's such a cutie!!

Our Honeymoon!

For our honeymoon, Heinz and I went to Cancun! We had such a blast. We stayed at an all inclusive resort where you pay one price and it includes all the food and drinks you want, tours, the room, and pretty much everything else! We went snorkeling, toured the ruins, went to Wet N Wild, wind surfed, laid out, and ate a whole lot! After that, we stayed two nights is Springdale and went hiking and swimming, and then we stayed one night at the Stein Erickson Lodge in Deer Valley (it's where the president stayed when he was in Utah!)

My friend Kasidee told me about blog spot, so I decided I'd try it out. So go easy on me! Heinz and I got married on May.31 2008 in the St.George Temple. It's been almost 4 months now! Time goes by fast. He is such an amazing person and I don't know where I'd be without him. Hopefully I'll be able to learn more about blog spot so I can share all our times together and post it. Even though I love scrap booking, this seems faster and way easier!
